Her expertise, enthusiasm, and genuine love for horses make her an invaluable member of the Pure Feed family.

Amy Inglis

Feeds used: Working and Condition Mix depending on energy levels required, Stud to youngstock.

Amy Inglis is a top British showjumper, known for her talent, dedication, and strong partnerships with her horses. A member of Great Britain’s World Class Performance Programme and a Rolex Young Riders Academy graduate, she made her CSI5* debut at just 22. Amy balances competing, producing young horses, and coaching. Amy trusts Pure Feed to keep her horses performing at their best, feeding Pure Condition Mix and Pure Working for her competition horses, while her young horses, broodmares, and foals thrive on Pure Stud.

Jonty Evans

Feeds used: Condition Mix day to day, and Performance before competitions

Jonty is an eventer turned para dressage rider who competes his main horse Art alongside coaching and hosting clinics. Art is fed Condition Mix day to day, and switches onto Performance before any big competitions or training days. Jonty first met Art when he was driving home from an event and came to the rescue of a broken-down horse box. He offered to take the stranded gelding back to his yard and he never left!

Lily Chandler

Lily is a talented showjumping rider who works with a range of horses, from youngsters starting their careers to experienced competition horses. She’s passionate about giving her horses the best foundation possible, both in their work and nutrition. Pure Feed supports Ella’s horses with a natural, all-in-one approach that fits seamlessly into her routine.

Violet Hawkins

Feeds used: Easy, with the addition of Working before shows

Violet, a talented 14-year-old international dressage rider, has proudly represented The Pure Feed Company as a brand ambassador since November 2023. Competing with her two ponies, Paddy and Tom, Violet brings a remarkable level of skill and dedication. As a rising star in the dressage world, Violet works hard to ensure her ponies look and feel their best, she feeds Pure Easy day-to-day, and switches to Pure Working before any big competitions to help with the ponies’ energy levels.

Ellis Grierson

Feeds used: Fibre Balance and Easy, ReFuel after events.

Ellis competes at Working Hunter, affiliated showjumping, dressage and eventing! The most recent addition to her team is Lottie, who arrived with Ellis on loan in March 2024. Ellis says “Lottie arrived very tucked up and her owners had warned she dropped weight easily as she is quite a highly strung girl – and boy oh boy they weren’t lying! She had mainly had a cube-based diet before so when we tried to put her straight on to Pure Condition she wouldn’t eat it, but by adding the Condition cubes to it all of a sudden won her over. Now she is back to just eating the Pure Condition Mix and she’s going the best she’s ever felt, and her owners couldn’t believe how well she looked as normally she drops weight in peak showing season due to the excitement and stress of it all!”

Megan Devonport

Feeds used: Working, with ReFuel after competing

Megan has been a valued member of the team since she first trialled the feed at the start of 2024. It was vital to Megan that any feed she used was non-heating and kind to her ulcer prone gelding Cooley Hawk’s gut. After we reached out to discuss a potential partnership, Megan trialled Pure Working and after just 1 month was already blown away by the difference in her horses! Megan events Cooley Hawk at Novice level, while skilfully producing her young mare Cali, she exemplifies dedication and passion in the sport, and we are so proud to have her as part of the team here at Pure Feed.

Joel Hart

Feeds used: Performance, Condition Mix, Pure Linseed and ReFuel after training and events.

Joel Hart is a talented young event rider making his mark on the sport. At just 22, he has already secured multiple top-five finishes at Intermediate/CCI2* and is part of the British Equestrian Young Professionals Programme 24/25. With big ambitions for 2025, he aims to step up to CCI3* with Sahara while carefully producing his exciting young horse, Zelda, for the future. To keep his horses performing at their best, Joel fuels them with Pure Performance Mix, Pure Condition Mix, Linseed, and Refuel, ensuring they have the energy and recovery support needed for competition.

Maisie Allsop

Feeds used: Easy and Refuel

Maisie Allsop is a talented young show jumper with an impressive record already to her name. She has competed at the London International Horse Show and HOYS, and in 2024 was crowned National 148 Champion. Erin is an international dressage rider from Ireland who competes with her gelding, Thomas. Thomas is fed on Pure Veteran Pellets, enjoying warm mashes before training and ReFuel after work and competitions. Erin takes care to keep his diet consistent, even when travelling abroad. She always plaits him herself before tests – a quiet moment they both enjoy. Millie Juleff

Feeds used: Condition Mix, Condition Pellets, and ReFuel.

Millie Juleff is a talented young event rider from Cornwall. With ambitions to reach the top of British Eventing, she dreams of one day competing at Badminton 5*. Millie recently took on the exciting ride of Pencos Crown Jewel from Ros Canter, adding to her string of talented horses. To keep her team feeling their best, she follows her vet’s recommendation of a low-sugar, low-starch diet, feeding a combination of Pure Condition Mix, Condition Pellets, and Pure Refuel daily.

Phoebe Sydenham began her equestrian journey by rescuing Hattie, a pony with EMS, sparking a passion for giving horses a second chance. Now with a growing string of horses, Phoebe enjoys doing a bit of everything – from eventing and showjumping to fun rides and even the occasional game of polo. Sarah Stewart is a dedicated rider, coach, and livery yard owner with a passion for nutrition and welfare. A popular BD Level 3 coach and BHSI since 2000, Sarah has helped riders of all levels unlock their horses’ potential, from grassroots competitors to international eventers and showjumpers. Feeds used: Condition Mix, Performance Mix and Easy. Plus all her horses love Refuel after training!

Kate Tarrant is a professional event rider who runs Littleton Manor Equestrian Centre in Reigate, Surrey. Caroline Hunt

We’ve seen a few posts lately saying straw shouldn’t be fed to horses… and it’s left a lot of people second-guessing what they’re doing. But straw isn’t some new or risky trend; it’s actually been used for years, and for good reason.Quite simply, straw is very low in calories but still provides fibre. That makes it really useful for horses that hold weight easily, need their intake controlled, or are on restricted diets. By adding straw into a forage ration, you can bulk it out without piling in extra energy and calories. It also takes horses longer to chew. That means more time eating, more saliva production, and a more natural, trickle-feeding pattern, all of which support digestive health and help prevent long periods without forage. That’s why you’ll often see straw used alongside hay or haylage, rather than instead of it. It helps slow things down and stretch the ration out.Of course, it’s not for every horse. It needs to be good quality, introduced gradually, and fed appropriately. But when it’s used correctly, it’s a really practical add in to your horse's diet.If you’re not sure whether straw has a place in your horse’s diet, just ask 👇

Some horses react when the girth is tightened, and it’s not just “being tricky.” The reason often comes down to stomach discomfort.Horses produce stomach acid constantly, even when they’re not eating. Unlike humans, their stomachs aren’t designed to be empty for long periods. When a horse’s stomach is empty, or its gut is upset, the acid can irritate the stomach lining.Tightening the girth puts pressure on the lower ribcage and stomach area, which can trigger discomfort or pain, causing the horse to squirm, nip at the girth, or resist being tacked up.Supporting your horse with a fibre-rich diet, consistent feeding schedule, and careful tack fitting can help reduce this type of sensitivity, making tacking up a calmer, more comfortable experience.💡 Have you noticed a difference when switching to Pure Feed? Your horse’s gut does a lot more than just “digest feed” ➡️ it’s responsible for nutrient absorption, immune support, behaviour, condition, performance… everything starts there.
The horse’s digestive system is designed for a near-constant intake of fibre, with fermentation in the hindgut supplying a significant proportion of their energy. When diets are high in starch or contain unnecessary additives, we can disrupt that delicate microbial balance and that’s when we start to see issues with condition, behaviour and consistency. At Pure Feed, every formulation is built around supporting optimal digestive function. Our feeds are:• Molasses free
• Cereal free (bar our Pure Performance)
• Alfalfa free
• Mould inhibitor freeInstead of relying on cereals for energy, we use highly digestible fibre sources and oil to provide slow-release energy that works in harmony with the hindgut. Each feed is fully balanced with vitamins and minerals, so you’re not layering multiple products on top.The result? A more stable energy profile, efficient nutrient utilisation, and support for the microbiome. All from a feeding system designed to reflect how horses are meant to eat.Every horse is different; let us build a diet plan that actually suits yours. • Mould inhibitor free

Instead of relying on cereals for energy, we use highly digestible fibre sources and oil to provide slow-release energy that works in harmony with the hindgut. Each feed is fully balanced with vitamins and minerals, so you’re not layering multiple products on top.

The result? A more stable energy profile, efficient nutrient utilisation, and support for the microbiome. All from a feeding system designed to reflect how horses are meant to eat.
