Founded by a group of horse enthusiasts and nutrition experts, The Pure Feed Company was born out of a love for horses and an understanding of their unique dietary needs. We recognised a gap in the market for feed that was both nutritionally balanced and free from unnecessary additives. The Pure Feed Company is all about re-inventing equine nutrition with a view to ensuring that every horse has the opportunity to enjoy a life of optimum health & wellbeing, performance, and longevity.

Head of Nutrition
Elise graduated from Hartpury with a degree in Equine Science before working as a veterinary nurse in an equine practice. She then moved into the equine supplement industry, gaining valuable insight into horse nutrition. Joining the Pure Feed team in 2023, she now helps owners make informed feeding choices backed by both scientific knowledge and hands-on experience.

Sales Executive
Liv combines academic expertise with a lifelong passion for horses. Holding an MSc from Hartpury, she has been involved with horses from a young age, giving her a strong foundation in equine care and nutrition. We never rely on sweeteners to make our feeds tasty. Horses naturally prefer fibre-rich ingredients, and our formulations are designed to work with their digestive system, not against it with added sugar.
Many feeds use molasses as a shortcut: it’s cheap, it binds pellets easily, and it guarantees sweetness. But it also increases sugar levels and can make feeds unsuitable for horses with metabolic or digestive sensitivities.

Our pellets are bound using linseed and we use carefully balanced fibre and oil sources, not molasses. This means:
