Emma McNab

Australian International Event Rider

One of Australia’s most exciting up and coming event riders

As a young rider Emma McNab represented her country as part of the winning Young Rider Team in the Trans-Tasman competition in New Zealand. She then won the Adelaide CCI** as the youngest competitor in the field and progressed to do her first 4**** when she was 18 on the beautiful horse Kelecyn Ice Age. This horse was the reason Emma is now based in the UK. Her plan was to move to the UK to compete at Badminton, but unfortunately the year she moved over was the year Badminton was cancelled. However, after experiencing the opportunity that the UK offers for eventing, she decided to stay and pursue her competition goals from here.

During the six years she has been based in the UK, she has had many successes. She competed at Adelaide CCI****, Luhmuhlen CCI**** and Badminton CCI**** on Kelecyn Ice Age. She was then long listed for Rio Olympics with the horse Belcam Bear. In 2017 Emma rode the lovely nine-year-old Fernhill Tabasco to finish ninth at the Pau CCI****.

What Emma McNab has to say about Pure Feed

“Making the change to Pure Feed has been fantastic for us. As well as being able to work with some of the most knowledgeable and helpful people in the industry, the feed is so much more advanced than anything we have ever seen – both in Australia and the UK.

“Being an all in one feed is revolutionary. It means that you take away the complicated detail that you normally have with feeding different feeds and instead you have a complete feed in every scoop. As the whole range of Pure Feed contains the same basic ingredients, we can adjust our horses’ feeds without the usual long changeover period that you have to do with other feeds.

“In our sport we come across all sorts of temperaments. Some of our top athletes were our fussiest eaters. We would struggle to try and find something that they enjoyed eating, for example molasses, only mix, only chaff – none of which were good for them. Since using Pure Feed our fussy eaters are now normal eaters. They really do like Pure Feed. The input and output are very important for our horses and the fact that they are happy to eat Pure Feed means we know they are getting everything they need to do their job well.

“Simplicity – that is the best part. Running a yard of 30 horses means that attention to detail is key. The fact that Pure Feed offers such simplicity in the feed room is fantastic. Our horses look and feel the best they ever have, and this is down to Pure Feed. We cannot speak more highly of it.”
